Pipe joint testers
Pipe joint testers for pipes and sewer systems
A pipe joint tester is used to check the tightness of pipes and sewer systems, or more precisely all interfaces of a pipe system. The inspection of entire sections or complete systems requires a great deal of material and personnel. To reduce the inspection effort, it makes sense to inspect each interface separately. This saves the installation of large shut-off devices, the tedious filling of large test rooms and immediately provides a statement as to which connection point has a leak.
“Städtler+Beck” manufactures exactly such pipe joint testing devices and has over 40 years of experience in the design and project planning of such devices, as well as their application. Our product range covers all common materials and shapes as standard and, in addition, we can manufacture a suitable device for your individual purpose. On request, we will be happy to accompany your entire project, provide advice and / or site supervision. We are constantly developing our devices and can offer you the following:
- Multi-range pipe joint testing devices for testing with different internal pipe diameters or for the economic coverage of several nominal diameters.
- Pipe joint devices for use in non-accessible and accessible sewers
- High pressure versions for pressures up to 15 bar
- Special design, we manufacture your pipe joint testing device individually according to your approved construction plan as circular, egg-shaped, kite-shaped or box-shaped profiles, with or without dry weather channel
Our devices are able to compensate for a certain socket offset and manufacturing tolerances. This is made possible by the stroke of the hollow chamber profiles. Please note that this stroke is limited and depends on the unit. Thus, based on the minimum production size, the units can carry out the following max. strokes parallel to the circumference:
- MPG MINI 20 mm
- MPG MAXI 20 mm
- MPG Powerline 10 mm
- MUPP UNO/DUO 35 mm
- KOMUP UNO/DUO 35 mm
Advantages and special features of our pipe joint testers
- Optional testing with air or water
- Use of mobile camera systems for visual inspections and documentation
- Exact positioning through view of the test area
- Compatibility with all trolley systems
- Integrated self-monitoring (MUPP/KOMUP DUO series) through additional reference test chambers
- Separable constructions for easy handling and transport
- Continuous hollow chamber profiles for 100% tightness and function of the unit in the KOMUPP series
- Suitable measurement technology from our own company
- Rental of various units on request
Pipe joint tester MAXI
The pneumatic socket tester MAXI is used for leak testing of pipe joints with larger inner pipe diameters from DN 600 to DN 3400 with air or water according to EN 1610 and other test standards.
The device consists of a welded steel construction with two hollow chamber profiles (filling pressure up to 6 bar) and a wide test chamber. For easier transport and assembly on site, all units can be designed in several parts. As standard, the units are available in circular and egg shape, but the special production of other profiles (such as kite or box profiles) is of course feasible on request. We will be happy to advise you on your project and assist you with our experience and products.
Our devices are able to compensate for a certain socket offset and manufacturing tolerances. This is made possible by the stroke of the hollow chamber profiles. Please note that this stroke is limited and depends on the unit. For example, the devices of the MPGMAXI series can perform a stroke of 20 mm circumferentially parallel, based on the minimum production size.
Pipe joint tester MINI DN 200 – DN 600
The pneumatic socket tester MINI is used for leak testing of pipe joints with smaller inner pipe diameters from DN 200 to DN 600 with air or water according to EN 1610 and other test standards.
The device consists of a welded steel construction with two hollow chamber profiles (filling pressure up to 6 bar) and a wide test chamber. For better tightness, additional para-special rubber sleeves are used. In order to allow an easy exchange of the hollow chamber profiles, the head plates are designed to be demountable.
Our units are able to compensate for a certain sleeve offset and manufacturing tolerances. This is made possible by the stroke of the hollow chamber profiles. Please note that this stroke is limited and depends on the unit. For example, the units of the MPGMINI series can execute a stroke of 20 mm circumferentially parallel, based on the minimum production size.
KOMUP – compact pipe joint tester
The pneumatic pipe joint testers of the KOMUPP series are used for leak testing of pipe joints from DN 600 to DN 2600 with air or with water according to EN1610 and many other test standards.
The special feature of these devices is their low transport volume. Thanks to a folding mechanism, all devices can be folded to save space and thus fit through any DIN manhole opening from DN 625.
In addition, each KOMUPP is available with self-monitoring on request. This series is called KOMUPP DUO and consists of two additional hollow chamber profiles. This creates additional reference spaces with which it is possible to check the tightness of the test device (pipe circumferentiality). This ensures 100% reliable test results.
Powerline pipe joint tester
The pneumatic pipe joint testers of the Powerline series are used for leak testing of pipe joints with internal pipe diameters from DN 600 to DN 3400 with water. With these particularly stable devices, tests can be carried out with a pressure of up to 15 bar.
The device consists of a particularly stable welded steel construction with two hollow chamber profiles and a wide test chamber. For easier transport and assembly on site, all units can be designed in several parts. As standard, the units are available in a circular shape, but the special production of other profiles (such as kite or box profiles) is of course feasible on request. We will be happy to advise you on your project and assist you with our experience and products.
Our devices are able to compensate for a certain socket offset and manufacturing tolerances. This is made possible by the stroke of the hollow chamber profiles. Please note that this stroke is limited and depends on the unit. The devices of the MPG Powerline series, for example, can execute a stroke of 10 mm circumferentially parallel, based on the minimum production size.
MUPP UNO / DUO – pipe joint tester with integrated Plexiglas test chamber
The pneumatic pipe joint tester of the MUPP series are used for leak testing of pipe joints from DN 200 to DN 600 with air (optionally with water) according to EN1610. All MUPP UNO/DUO pipe joint testers are equipped with a trolley suspension for installation in sewers and drains that cannot be walked on.
The transparent test chamber, which can be equipped with a camera, is standard. This enables precise positioning and documentation of the test points.
In addition, each MUPP is available with self-monitoring. This series is called MUPP DUO and consists of two additional hollow chamber profiles. This creates additional reference chambers with which it is possible to check the tightness of the test device (pipe circumferentiality). This ensures 100 % reliable test results.
Our devices are able to compensate for a certain socket offset and manufacturing tolerances. This is made possible by the stroke of the hollow chamber profiles. Please note that this stroke is limited and depends on the device. For example, the units of the MUPPUNO and DUO series can execute a stroke of 35 mm circumferentially parallel, based on the minimum production size.
Multi-range pipe joint tester with integrated Plexiglas test chamber – one device for several ranges
The pneumatic pipe joint testers of the MB series are used for leak testing of pipe joints from DN 100 to DN 800 with air or optionally with water in accordance with EN1610 and many other test standards. The hollow chamber profiles used can be pressurised up to 2.5 bar. All MB test devices are equipped with a robot suspension for insertion into these non-accessible sewers and drains.
The special feature of the device is to cover several nominal diameters with one device. These multi-branch pipe-joint testers have hollow chamber profiles that can perform a large stroke. This makes it possible to cover diameter ranges of up to 200 mm (depending on the initial diameter) with one device.
A standard feature is the transparent test chamber, which can be equipped with a camera. This enables precise positioning and documentation of the inspection points.
Custom-made pipe joint testers
We manufacture your individual pipe joint tester individually according to your approved construction plan, e.g. circular, egg, kite, box profiles, with or without dry weather channel.
