Hot tapping and stopple devices
All Städtler+Beck hot tapping and stopple devices enable leak-free tapping and shut-off of operating gas and oil pipelines.
Advantages of our hot tapping and stopple devices for gas pipes
You save money and space because you can drill all nominal diameters from 1 to 6 inches up to an operating pressure of 16 bar with one tapping device. In addition, operating costs can be significantly reduced because our tapping devices have a specially designed power transmission with spring pre-tensioning. Here, the drill rod is driven continuously, shock-free and evenly by pretensioning, even at high speeds.
This enables the use of low-cost saw-blade cutters, reduces wear, ensures a long service life and maximum availability of the equipment. Compared to other devices, a time saving of up to 50% is achieved. Due to the spring-loaded feed, tapping can also be carried out quickly and easily by hand.
In order to make the tapping devices particularly durable, all parts are surface-treated and delivered from the factory with a long-lasting protective coating against corrosion.
Hot tapping device
The Städter + Beck tapping device is suitable for tapping metal and plastic pipes with a bore diameter of 1 to 6 inches. In order to achieve a satisfactory drilling result, different drill bits are available. Pipelines in operation can be tapped up to an operating pressure of 16 bar without media escaping. The devices are available in four different sizes with travels from 130 to 1000 mm.
TITAN hot tapping device
This hot tapping device is suitable for tapping metal pipes with a bore diameter of DN 80 to DN 300 or 3 to 12 inches. Pipes in operation can be tapped up to an operating pressure of 4 bar without media escaping. The units are available in two different sizes with a travel of 650 mm or a travel of 1200 mm. We will be happy to advise you on the application and equipment of your individual TITAN hot tapping device.
Stopple unit – HSE (House connection stople unit)
Our stopple units are used to reliably shut off pipe widths of up to DN 100 in the gas, water and district heating sector up to an operating pressure of 6 bar. Optionally, they can be equipped with a pre-pressure measurement. The devices are available in different sizes with travels from 480 to 700 mm. For larger pipe widths, our TITAN 8plus tapping / shut-off system is used.
